Send a Radio Message to Ukrainians

There is another easy but powerful thing you can do to support the people of Ukraine.

Send your own personal message of support, to be heard on radios across Ukraine by recording at 510-883-3115.

Pacifica Radio Network is an international network of nonprofit community radio stations. When the invasion of Ukraine occurred, they began a collaboration  with Kraina FM, an all-Ukrainian-speaking radio network covering 26 cities in Ukraine. Usually, Kraina FM is based in Kyiv but currently they are at a secret location for safety, from which they provide programs to support people during the war and support the defense effort.  Pacifica has been collecting messages from folks in the US, for support and encouragement. With Ukrainian translations heard over the messages, they are sent to Kraina FM, who plays them on the radios in Ukraine. They have a strong impact in helping to remind people there that they and their situation is not being forgotten.

Your message need not be long, just express from your heart a few words of encouragement. It’s a small and easy thing to do that will make a big difference. Call 510-883-3115 and record your message.
